Definition: Aggregate is a collection of items that are gathered together to form a total quantity.

The fleeting moments of knowledge in which we discover our existence are facts that can be committed to memory. We can enlarge this aggregate memory and refashion it as we go through a lifetime. By saving these memories on paper and reconstructing the images of our lives. We see the art of our lives unfolding before us.

Face the brilliance of your most wonderful creations and dwell on your dreams.
I believe in teaching, the sharing of ideas and playfulness of creating.

Westcott 6 Set Cutting System and FotoBella.com

Hello Crafties...

I have a video demonstration for the Westcott 6 Set Cutting System from
www.FotoBella.com.
I have fallen in love with all of these tools. OUT with the OLD and IN with the New.
The paper cutter also has a scoring blade on it as well, nice bonus.
I show you the six pieces that come in the set and how they work.
Also at the end of the video I have done a fussy cut tutorial with scissors and an exacto blade.
ENJOY-!
Thanks FotoBella.com for having the best tools around.
Warmly-

Hearts Hanging....

I made these hearts last year and hung them from the ceiling with tape and string in our huge front window.

I have been thinking about the Valentine's Day Holiday...

With this I of course started to think about years long ago and the Valentine's cards that were made at different times in history.  Here is one from the 1850's, another and another. Here is one from the 1920's a tiny thing of 2 inch's and a pop up card.

So where did the Holiday come about.... Here is the Wikipedia link and another I found interesting.

I hope you found this of interest.
Warm Wishes-

Gelli Arts Printing Plate

I just received my mono printing plate in the mail today. I have been watching my mixed media friend Kate Crane teaching these classes in the UK and just had to try for myself. Oh and I am hooked. Love this. This is a work in progress. Just great when to play with when my city is slicked over in a sheet of ice. Lol.

SDC84: Getting in the mood for love

SDC84: Getting in the mood for love.

It is that time again to think of our loved ones and show them how important they are to us.
(we should be doing this everyday, Right?)
Carol my team mate at Stampotique Designers Challenge would like you to play along in the fun. Using a Love themed item..... anything goes, just spread the love.

Stamps I used:
Baby Cthulhu

I wanted to a very clean and simple card this time. I have to say that I found this idea on pintrest a while back and was not able to find the link to the original post. =( Sorry. Very clever idea and put my own spin on it. Regardless- someone was crafty that day. I ended up drawing the heart on the cover and the small one with Baby Cthulhu. Letter stamps are from Close To My Heart. And Googlie Eyes are simply the very best.
Hope this warms the cockles of your Hearts.

A Little Love...

I wanted to share a bit of love.

I used Stampotique stamps Metal Love and Daniel's Hearts.

I wanted to play with my Ranger Pearl Mists. So I used a black tag. Stamped the images with Perfect Medium and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Heat with heat tool. Then I sprayed a little amount of Perfect Pearls onto my craft mat then using a paint brush added the mists to the hearts. Punched out hearts in clear vellum painted with Adirondack Alcohol Inks and backed the hearts with white card stock so that you could see the color. Glued with Glossy Accents.
Enjoy!

Encaustic @ CHA 2013

Hello Crafties....

At CHA I was able to make a dream come true....

I met and took a class in Encaustics with Daniella Woolf. She was here in Utah a few years back to teach.  I tried to make the planets align to take her class in Park City. I was just arriving back from a glass residency in Scotland and the class was overlapped with my return home.

This was a fun class, the instructors were as wonderful, exciting educators.
More than I could have imagined.

You know that I like to melt things....
Here is a little secret.
As a child I also liked to melt crayons on my Mom's Iron....
NEED I say more on that.

They are teaming up with Purple Cows and Tonic Tools-!!!
When I heard this my heart skipped a beat.

Here are some images from the class...
This is what we were working on in class... Layering paper and fabric on a card base.
 Samples: Detail of sample below.
Sample of art on silk and under wax.
Stamps and rub on under wax.
 Layers of wax carved.

Ok... I have never been to CHA and I was unaware of all the swag that you take home from the classes.
(Just call me GREEN.)
The classes was swag enough for me.
Purple Cows and Tonic tools hooked us up with a whole mini studio set. I did buy the DVD and book. It really was so generous and you will be seeing more of Encaustics and tutorials in my work.

Thank you so much for opening my brain to something so wonderful and new.
Try something artsy that you have never done today-!!!

Dylusions at CHA 2013

I found myself at the Ranger booth again. Thinking that this is notable for me and to put that info in my back pocket.

Dylusions is a brand of spray inks and stamps made by artist Dyan Reaveley by Ranger Products.

These are bright sprays and I love the way Ranger displays its products.

Hope this finds your hands inky.

Here are some things that I loved.

Look who I saw today at CHA

My former team mate Kate Crane from Stampotique Originals was hanging proud in the Ranger booth. Here is a few other things that caught my eye.
Distress PAINT-!!!! You say What?!
Just Love all the colors together.
This came out last CHA but I love IT..... Rock Candy Glitter.
Totally clear and the glitter is mixed with 3 different sized to add more glitz to your glam.
This is the cool part....
You can mix it with any alcohol inks to make whatever color you want.
I just want the Mac Daddy size of this one.

A Huge THANK YOU- to FotoBella.com for bringing me here to see all the lovelies.
Creative Juices are flowing.
